Library at Your Event

Lincoln City Libraries Outreach Request

Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) provides access to information, ideas, books and lifelong learning opportunities that inform, enrich and empower Lincolnites — both inside and outside the library. Our outreach staff can attend your organization’s event or provide presentations to your group on a range of library-related topics for a variety of ages.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Resource or card registration table: This takes place at events like community festivals, neighborhood days and resource fairs. We will work with your point of contact to meet the needs of your event, whether that means offering account sign-ups, literacy resources, pop-up library checkouts, promotion of research resources, or reading recommendations.
  • Speaking opportunity: LCL staff are available to present to large and small business, neighborhood associations, book clubs, faith-based or community organizations about library services. Our staff can speak on diverse topics including libraries, book trends, book talks, early literacy, the importance of childhood reading, local history research, library resources and more. We can tailor our content to the specific needs and interests of your audience.
  • Bookmobile visits: LCL’s Bookmobile(s) are currently available in a limited capacity to respond to external requests. Our bookmobiles visit a set route on a regular basis and therefore have a limited availability. We consider external events open to the public on a case-by-case basis with the understanding that we are unable to fulfill every request.

If you are planning a community-centered event and think the library should be there, please fill out the form below.

Please submit your request at least four weeks prior to the date of the event to allow for proper staffing. Submission of this form does not guarantee that a library employee will be available for your event. You will receive an email confirmation acknowledging your request. All requests are evaluated in the order they are received. Lincoln City Libraries may turn down requests due to staff capacity, mission misalignment, or organizational priorities.
